Instant Pot Recipe Books

As a librarian, for Daniel, a love of printed books comes with the job! Of course, this includes Instant Pot recipe books. Below you can find our top 3 vegan pressure cooker books.

Some of these books are general pressure cooker recipes, but it is easy to convert most recipes to work with the Instant Pot. We’ll be adding a handy guide on how to convert recipes for the Instant Pot soon.

Recommended books:

1. Vegan Under Pressure – Jill Nussinow

Vegan under pressure book cover

Jill is known as the Veggie Queen for a reason (and not just because it’s the title of her blog!). She’s been teaching people about plant-based cooking for over 30 years, and in this book, it really shows. Inside you’ll find great recipes with easy ingredients, alongside clear explanations of the potential stumbling blocks with each meal, and how to overcome them.

2. Vegan Pressure Cooking – JL Fields

This is the first cookbook we bought after getting our Instant Pot – and some of the recipes within it are still firm favourites. Most of the recipes are stews, which is a great intro for beginners, and there are lots of pictures to help with deciding which dish to make.

3. Epic Vegan Instant Pot Cooking – Derek and Hannah Howlett

Okay, there are only 30 recipes, and the language is pretty cheesy.  But, they’re delicious, varied, AND there’s a picture to accompany every single one! Also includes a 7 day Instant Pot challenge, for those who like to jump in at the deep end with their pressure cooking.
